Apr. 9, 2010 (Fri.)

We picked up Ethan, Anna and Titus this morning at 9:00 a.m., David was sleeping when we arrived. Besides the IV Chemo he is getting at the hospital 4 times a week, David is still taking chemo pills at home.

When we got back home, Aunt Joelle was doing homework. Ethan loves to spend time with her, looking at her books and having her explain what she is learning.

Ethan loves to hear about Aunt Joelle’s biology, chemistry or nursing classes.

Joe and I took the day off of work today. After Titus woke up from his morning nap we packed up the van and took the kids to the Santa Ana Zoo. It’s Sarah and Seth’s Easter break so they were able to go with us. There are a few more pictures on the photobucket slideshow

Ethan said seeing the squirrel monkey was his favorite animal. Joe’s family had a monkey like this when he was a kid.

It was a very nice day.

David had to be at his appointment for IV Chemo at the Chou Center at 1:00 p.m.today (just like the last 4 days). After dinner we returned the kids back to David and Chrissy, we had a nice conversation with them. We left at about 7:00 p.m. when David started getting “the shakes”, he says he gets what looked like shivers every night for about a half an hour.

"Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done for David - The things you planned for him, no one can recount to you; Were he to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare."  Psalms 40:5
