A summary of what David’s schedule may look something like this for the next several months:
- August 8 – 19 –Will need to receive 3 sessions of Brain Radiation at UCI Medical Center (Orange County)
- August 22 – David gets admitted to UCLA Medical Center and has 8 TBI (Total Body Irradiation) treatments over the course of 4 days
- August 26 –Receives 4 days of high doses of Chemotherapy.
- August 30 – One day rest.
- August 31 – Bone Marrow Transplant
- Sept. 1 – Sept. 17 – Stays admitted at UCLA Medical Center on Antibiotics, Anti fungals, Anti rejection meds and wait for Bone Marrow to regenerate
- Sept 18 – Oct 15 – Transfer to a local facility no more than 15 minutes away from UCLA Medical Center (hopefully the Tiverton House or Fisher House), have at least 3 clinic visits a week. David will need a caretaker with him during this time.
- Oct. 16th – Go Home (hopefully).
The entire schedule could change at any moment. If David does well the dates at the hospital and aftercare could be reduced. If he has any complications everything could go much longer.
