Chrissy sent a text today to pray for David. He was throwing up and had a horrible headache. Joe took a long lunch break and went over to help. He got bags of ice to place on his head and the arm that itches so badly, got the nurse to page the doctor and get Emend prescribed to help with the nausea and a stronger pain killer for the headache. He finally got to sleep and was able to eat some rice for dinner.


David shared yesterday that the layoffs for his work have been averted

"Sheriff Sniff issued Supplemental Departmental Memorandum #11-041 today, advising that all 200 layoff notices previously issued on May 13th and June 2nd have been CANCELLED.

In a 5-0 vote yesterday afternoon the Board of Supervisors voted to accept the Sheriff’s alternative budget plan. During the budget hearings the Sheriff told the Board of Supervisors that his plan will close the budget gap to within $3-$4 million and will allow him to avoid any layoffs."
