David started throwing up at 4:00 am this morning. David  hasn't had much of an appetite and had only eaten 1/2 a banana by this afternoon.

The doctor dropped by this afternoon and asked if any medication has worked in the past for David's nausea. We remembered that Emend has helped David before and the doctor prescribed it for him. When the nurse arrived with the pill she commented that everyone had warned her to be very careful with it and not drop it because it was so expensive. David took the pill and within minutes he threw up and there was the pink pill floating in the vomit. The nurse said, "Well, there goes $600.00". Weird the things you laugh about at odd moments. They are going to give David an  IV  of Adivan to help calm him down and then give him another pill. Hopefully it will help and he'll feel better tomorrow.

David still had the IV needle in the crook of his elbow that the nurses hadn't removed yet. We begged his nurse to remove it now that he has his PICC line so David could move his arm easiear. Thankfully, she came back in a short time and took it out.

In the picture you can still see the bruising from the port-a-cath removal.
