David continued to have a fever yesterday of 100.7 degrees, he was transferred up to the 7th floor.
The blood cultures that he had taken on Sat. night could take a couple of days to get results from, hopefully tomorrow they will know if David has a bacterial infection or not.
David told Chrissy that they gave him 2 units of blood yesterday. Chrissy reported that they also gave him platelets and a “WBC Booster,” they don’t like to give the booster because it can hinder the remission of the leukemia. He is also on 2 different kinds of antibiotics.
He had a second dose of Emend and in the afternoon was asking Chrissy to fix him some Angel Hair Pasta with Alfredo Sauce. Chrissy is going to take him some more today for lunch.
He is frustrated about the lack of sleep he gets at the hospital; someone is always coming in and disturbing him. They are hoping if he doesn’t have a fever today and the cultures come back okay he might get to come home tomorrow.
