David & Chrissy received the news that the biopsy determined that David has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
He will be transferred to UCI Medical Center or City of Hope to start treatment on Friday dependending on their insurance.
His treatment will go on for about a year. He’ll go to the hospital for 6 days, which will include 4 days of Chemo and two days of recovery. Then he’ll go home for a week or two and then go back for another 6 days. This cycle should continue for a year.
The doctor told them that it is currently only in the bone marrow and isn’t in the blood yet. He also shared that this type of cancer has a decent cure rate.
