We offered to take breakfast to David this morning so he could get his food early before the bone marrow aspiration. He ordered a Stuffed French toast combo breakfast from IHOP and a side order of Biscuits and Gravy. I reminded him of “Dad’s rule”…” if you order it, you have to eat it all” :) He laughed and said he would. We arrived with the food at 6:30 am and he was awake and doing well.

Joe went back to the hospital at 10:00 am to be with David for the bone marrow aspiration. Joe has been with David through four of these tests and he said it went “Great”, they were done by 11:30 am! Thanks for all your prayers. David was peaceful and the Nurse Practitioner, Karen Sommers was very patient during the procedure. At first they thought it was going to be delayed until after 2 pm but they were able to get David the extra platelets and Pain Meds that he needed quickly and still get the test done in time.

When we went by this afternoon to visit, the nurse took David’s blood sugar counts and it was at 174, she was happy that she didn’t have to give David any insulin today.

Last Sunday, Pastor Joseph Lee from Blessed International (a church David & Chrissy attended when they lived in Orange County) came to visit. He brought a book titled “God’s Medicine Bottle”, David is enjoying it.

Joe is spending the night tonight with David incase he needs extra help because of his sore hip from the bone marrow aspiration.
