September 13, 2011 (Tuesday)

David’s social worker came in today to discuss more discharge information. It could be as soon as tomorrow.

He may be transferred to the Tiverton House and they hope to have a room for him at the Fisher House (VA) on Friday or Saturday.

They transferred him from IV medications to oral prescriptions, currently he has to take 7 diffenent kinds of pills.

He was able to eat a half a bowl of oatmeal, some poporn and a bottle of Ensure. He says his mouth feels “funky”.  The lining of his mouth feels like it’s peeling, which is understandable since I saw a lot of white film when I looked at it previously and he says it hurts a little in the back still. He also says that there is a “chemical” taste that he plans on having to put up with for another week. The chemo “Cytarabine” has caused this effect before.  He rated his pain level at an 3 out of 10.

His Counts:
WBC    1.18
HGB   10.8
Plts:    69
ANC:   0.2
