Apr. 6, 2010 (Tues.)

David had to be at the Chou Cancer Center today at 11:30 a.m. to have blood work done. Depending on the results of the tests determined whether he was able to have his chemo treatment done. At 1:45 p.m. they were able to start his chemo, at first Chrissy was told it would take 5 hours for the IV Chemo treatment to be done but they were done and home by 5:00 p.m.

David will have to go in to the cancer center everyday starting today through Friday. They gave him a steroid type anti-nausea medication that made him feel pretty good this afternoon, which is a nice break since he has been very nauseous both Sunday and Monday. Yesterday he threw up 4 times and was very miserable. He said he has been on 3 different kinds of medication so far that haven't helped.

The doctor said that by the looks of his blood work he may go neutropenic (white blood cell count goes too low) in the next couple of days.

A good friend of ours, Linda Volker cooked dinner for them and we drove it down to them and hung out and talked for awhile.

David and Chrissy received a nice donation today, at the same time they received a bill for a procedure that David had at the other hospital back in January. Thank God for his provision.

"Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should ALWAYS PRAY AND NEVER GIVE UP."  Luke 18:1
