It seems whatever David and Chrissy were told on Monday, changed today. David ended up having to be at the hospital today at 2:00 pm for a spinal tap and chemo treatment. It took the doctor 5 pokes with the needle before she finally was successful with the lumbar puncture. On the last try she had David change positions and was able to get the needle to go in.
The current news is that he won't have to go back to the hospital until next Tuesday. Check back in tomorrow and I'm sure the information will change. Ugh.
Joe took the day off of work today and picked up the kids at 8:00 a.m. this morning. They went to Home Depot, the pool store, Rock City for Rock Climbing (Ethan really like it) and out to lunch at In-N-Out. Grandpa is sleeping soundly now. :)
When Joe returned the kids back home tonight to David and Chrissy, Joe fed David his dinner while Chrissy put the kids to bed. David has learned to keep laying down flat after the spinal taps to help his headaches not be so bad.
Thanks for the people who responded to bringing meals, we now have the next few days covered. If you are still interested, I would like to make plans for the next few weeks.
