Dianna Roque from the Riverside Sherriff's had a very kind idea to send a care package to the hospital for David. David was released so quickly that it arrived after he had already been discharged. We were able to contact the charge nurse on the transplant unit and she was able track it down before the mail room shipped it back to David and Christine's home. Joe (David's dad) was able to walk over to the hospital in the afternoon and pick it up.
The package contained all sorts of fun items for David and his caretaker. When he opened it David said... "This is neat, kind of like I was overseas". Joe used to send him care packages with he was deployed in Iraq.

Joe moved David out of the Tiverton House to an apartment that could be rented daily or monthly in Marina Del Rey (9 miles from UCLA). Thursday when Joe went to cook dinner for David at the Tiverton House there was another family using the kitchen so Joe walked to Ralphs and bought cheese and crackers for David's dinner. To avoid contacting an illness David can't go out in public and he distracts himself for many hours of the day playing online computer games, the only place there was internet at the Tiverton House was in the "Business Center" which was out by the lobby which David can't hang out in. The apartment has Wi-Fi and David was able to play Counterstrike for about 4 hours today. Also , Christine will be able to bring the kids to the apartment to visit David, they weren't allowed to stay with him at the Tiverton or the Fisher House. Thanks to the American Red Cross who very generously will be helping to cover some of the cost.
