This morning David had enough appetite for a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, white toast and 1/2 bowl of oatmeal! Then he snacked on pretzels and then he ordered hardboiled eggs and orange juice for lunch. It’s nice to see him have an appetite. David said that the doctor has prescribed for him to take the Emend (very expensive anti-nausea medication).
The doctor’s on the floor today came by to visit and say that David’s blood test results came back that his sugar levels are too high. Depending on the time of day normal can be 160 or less, David count today was 493. David recalls that this happened before when he has to take Prednisone . He will now have to have Insulin injection.
The hospital chaplain came in for a visit today for the first time since David has been re-admitted. She had tears in her eyes as she was reading her list of patients to visit today and saw David’s name on the list. She had such kinds words to say about David’s faith in Jesus and trust in the Lord through this entire situation.
Chrissy was able to drive in and be with David for dinner last night.
