Chrissy was able to come into town today and spend the day with David. This morning he had to have another x-ray of his abdomen to compare results from yesterday. The results came back the same.

The blood test results came back this morning confirming that David has a bacterial infection in his blood. A team of doctors that specialize in infections came and asked him a bunch of questions and will be responsible for monitoring his infection and managing his antibiotics.

Today David has had 3 doses of Dilaudid ( a pain killer), He said his pain level is at a 7 now. He has also had to have 2 shots of insulin.

His blood pressure hasn’t been good for most of the day:
This morning it was: 105/60
This afternoon: 94/48
At 5:30: 84/38
And this evening: 94/50

Because it’s been so low they have had to put him back on constant heart monitoring. He has to carry a remote monitor with him at all times.

First David was told that his spinal tap was going to be postponed until Monday and then this afternoon Dr. Sender insisted he have the spinal tap to keep his regimen on schedule.

Earlier today his platelet level was at .2 (200) and he had to receive blood platelets. Later this afternoon he had to receive a blood transfusion.

This afternoon Allison brought dinner and was able to visit with David and Chrissy.
Allison bringing dinner. Amazing how much better he feels after a blood transfusion!
The garage sale has been postponed due to all the craziness. If anyone else wants to contribute items you still can.  I wanted to thank an old friend Cathlene for bring by bags of items for sale today. Also another member of our church bought groceries for Chrissy.

Thanks again for the generous people who have been so kind.
