August 18, 2010 (Wed.)

We took David breakfast this morning at 7:30 am and when we went back to visit him again at 10:30 am he still hadn't eaten it. While we were visiting he ate a small bowl of pears and nectarines. He said he still weighs 127 pounds but Chrissy thinks that's because of all the IV fluids they are filling him up with.

He got up and took a shower and Chrissy said that drained his energy for hours. His WBC is at 1.7, but Chrissy said he still "feels crappy". He hasn't had a fever today. Hopefully they will be taking him off of one of the antibiotics,"Vancomycin" and run another panel of blood tests tonight.

David sent Chrissy a text that said Dr. Sender came in for a visit later this afternoon and said he wasn't going to give David the last dose of Vincristine. He should start Phase IV (Maintenance) in September.

Chrissy is really exhausted (emotionally and physically) and will be seeing her doctor on Monday. The doctor thinks that she may have a hernia or pulled muscle in her abdomen and is advising her not to do any lifting (rather impossible right now).

So many people have been so generous with helping watch the kids and bring meals, thanks so much for all your help.

"As for me, I will call upon God,
And the LORD shall save me,
Evening and morning and at noon
I will pray, and cry aloud,
And He shall hear my voice."
Psalm 55:16-17
