July 9, 2010 (Fri.)

Thursday was a very long day. David and Chrissy went to David’s doctor appointment at 9:30 am. And didn’t get done until 5:00 pm. Dr. Sender determined that David’s pain that he experienced on Wednesday was from lack of Potassium. The Potassium IV took 4 hours to complete. The doctor was also upset to find out the David is behind in his chemo treatments. It seems that the confusion is from the results from the blood draws. Dr. Sender said he wants David to receive the chemo treatments regardless of the blood test results. The blood tests only determine what else David needs to compensate for any side effects he is having from the chemo. The Cancer Center thought that David should only receive the chemo when his blood results looked “good”.

David has a chemo treatment again on Tuesday, July 13th and is not scheduled again to go back on July 27th. He’s also scheduled for several more lumbar punctures. I’m sure it will change again next week. :-/

"Ah, Sovereign LORD, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You."
