David responded very well to the Blood Booster and he is no longer Neutropenic, he will receive 4 kids of chemo today.

  • By Injection he will receive:
    • Cyclophosphamide
    • Vincristine
    • Asparaginase
  • Orally he will take:
    • Mercaptopurine
Tomorrow he will receive a spinal tap. It looks as though he may be discharged on Sunday. He now weighs 20 pounds less than when they originally created his chemo “roadmap.” They said they are going to have to readjust the amount of chemo that he receives because he is now down to 122 pounds. I was also told that they are going to try an Oral Appetite Stimulus to attempt to make David hungrier in hopes to get him to gain some weight.

David's Grandmother wrote:
"there are some people who have decided to do some "kind of fast" thru this whole three week period for David. If any others would want to join in, it would be great - sounds like he could use a whole lot of special prayers...For some who doesn't know about fasts, you can give up sweets, or snacks or special foods you love during this time. Also, you don't have to do the "food" thing but to give up something special that they like (like some TV, etc.) or to do something special (like extra kindness to someone they don't like) for that three week period..."

"Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
and the sheep of His Hand."
Psalm 95:6-7
