David just finished his first Intrathecal chemotherapy treatment. This has been a lot easier than all the previous years of spinal taps. This time around, they take him down to radiology to watch the needle enter the spine to be accurate and precise in injecting him. The reason is, his body has been too traumatized and he may pass out during the procedure. He is very thankful for this technology. The chemo though, is one of the worst, one that he's had before and reacts terribly. Its called Cytarabine.
The kids are all here today at the hospital with me. Dani Morrison and Pat Carroll are helping by playing with them. They were super sweet and brought a big bag full of Playdough and markers, paper, puzzles, modeling clay and such. What a treat!!
