Last Sunday, David noticed that his wrist was swelling on his arm and then on Monday his knuckles were swollen.

They talked to the doctor and they are saying the Leukemia is working its way down the Central nervous system (CNS).  Doing some research online we saw this statement....Historically, certain sites have been considered sanctuary sites (i.e., anatomic spaces that are poorly penetrated by many of the systemically administered chemotherapy agents typically used to treat acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)), the Central nervous system (CNS) is one of these sanctuary sites.

They were told that Central Nervous Leukemia can attack the brain, eye and other extremities (arm & leg). Because the leukemia isn't in the bone marrow David doesn't qualify for a drug trial program.

With the radiation that David has received so far, the pain in his shoulder has gone down and the can raise his arm more.

Chrissy was saying however that last night was a rough night pain wise...David woke up every hour and could barely sleep.

Friends from church have brought a some meals.
