When Joe arrived at the hospital early Tuesday morning David was throwing up. David thought it was from the antibiotics, but at least his cough sounded better.
Joe was joking about David's biopsy procedure, and referenced Vinnie Barbarino's famous saying "Up Your Nose With a Rubber Hose" from the TV show in the 70's called "Welcome Back Kotter".

David said they gave him a twilight drug and he could feel the tube going up through his nose and down into his lungs and he had a hard time not coughing throughout the test. David coughed up some blood after having the lung biopsy. The doctors are having a disagreement as to whether they should start chemo now or wait for the biopsy results to come back and make sure they are accurately treating the correct fungus in his lungs or not. Joe took him some lunch after the test.
Wednesday, Joe went over to hang out with David at the hospital at lunch. Josh had to drive out and help Chrissy with the kids because she wasn't feeling well. Josh drove back to the hospital today.
David received a new PICC line because his came out during the two weeks he was at home. He said the nurse that put in the line did a great job.
This afternoon David was taken for an ultrasound of his liver because the doctors said his "counts" are up. He was very hungry because they didn't want him to eat for 6 hours before the test so he hadn't eaten anything since breakfast and it was after 5:00 in the afternoon before they finally came to get him.
