David gave a word picture of the pain he is experiencing in his throat. He said imagine swallowing a Dorito Chip and having it get stuck in your throat, now times it by 10.
Netflix is running very slow at the hospital so Joe walked over the local Ralphs and picked up some Redbox movies for David to watch. It helps distract David from the pain.
Counts today:
WBC: .05
HGB: 8.9
Plts: 27 (he recieved platlets yesterday)
Here are some things to pray for:
• David came down with a fever today. The doctor said it is expected, but please pray that his temperature to return to normal.
• For his WBC count to come up and for the new bone marrow to regenerate.
o The radiation and chemo wiped out the fast growing cells in his mouth. The mouth sores will start to heal when the WBC and Bone marrow regenerates. The doctors had informed us during our consultation meeting on Aug. 4th it could take up to12 to 24 days for that to happen. He is now on day 7...• Chrissy is at home with sick children. Please pray that the kids get better and people offer to watch the kids so Chrissy can see David more often.
