Apr. 21, 2010 (Wed.)

Joe & I picked up David on our lunch break at 11:45 a.m. and took him to the Chao Cancer Center today for a 2nd Blood transfusion. When he got in the car today I asked him how he was feeling and he said, "Okay". Joe picked up David on his way home from work and took him back to his apartment.

There has been some sort of confusion between UCI and his insurance company about the lab work that has been done since David has been an outpatient at the Chao Cancer Center. His insurance company wants the blood tests to be done through Quest Diagnostics but because David has the blood drawn through his Port-A-Cath and Quest isn't certified to do that procedure they are making things more complicated. David will have to go to the Chao Center to have blood work drawn on Monday then the blood will have to be shipped/transported to Quest for testing. On Tuesday, once the test results have come back, David will have to go back to the Chao Center for his chemo treatment. Then he’ll have to repeat the same insanity on Thursday and Friday (Blood drawn on Thursday and Chemo on Friday). Please pray that the insurance will change their requirements and that David can have all the work done at the Chao Center and that David won’t get billed for the work already done.

Chrissy made a very cute music video of their family and posted it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQltfyxtzcM

When Chrissy has had a few minutes she has posted a few updates on a blog provided by the Caring Bridge. You can read her updates at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/davidgriffin2

"When Jesus had called the Twelve together, He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and He sent them out to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick."
